This started last Tuesday afternoon. It’s been working fine for 3 years. Remote (shared) users are buffering after about 4 seconds. Doesn’t matter if they’re transcoding or direct playing. I’ve checked my network, upload / download speed, and wiring… everything’s great. No settings changed on the server or configuration in Plex. I can watch fine remotely on my computer at work (about an hour from my house). Can someone please give me a clue as of what to look for to fix this. I’ve even reinstalled the server software last night. That didn’t fix the problem.
If you can watch remotely just fine, than maybe the problem lies with those you share with?
But it’s every one of them. Unless they drop the quality down to low MB 720 or even SD. Doesn’t matter the device… PS4, nvidia shield, tv apps, even Apple TV. nothing is working. It’s like every Shared account is having an issue on my server.
I have mine set to 40. That’s my upload speed
Well it’s probably a bug, seeing it’s Xmas i would roll back to last server version. 
Just double click a previous folder under “updates”?
It’s even more frustrating watching someone buffer when they’re playing direct. That should be impossible.
Would my video card cause this?
I rolled back to 2 versions ago. Same issue. No issues playing at home or remotely under home users. Everyone under shared buffers.
