Remove background colour tint from Car View on Android Auto

Is there a way to remove the background colour tint from Car View on Android Auto? Album art images are already in colour and when a tint is applied it makes it hard to read the writing on the album cover art (and perhaps defeats the object of displaying cover art). I know I could view the larger version of the player which renders the album art as a small image without a coloured tint but I prefer to have Google maps dominant on the car screen as I do a lot of travelling.

That wouldn’t be something our app is doing, we don’t have control over that in Android Auto.
