Hi, I want to remove all the free content from my google tv recommendations, I will never watch it, and it’s just taking up space.
I do not want to put my CCwGTV into aps only mode, that disables way too much, I just want to remove plex from showing free content.
It’s great that you have free content, but It’s not for me, and I’ll never watch it. So Id like to not see it when I turn on my Chromecast thanks.
Edit: I will note you unfortunately cannot remove the two rows Google adds for selling content from its own Movies & TV store. But at least you can move those to the bottom of the order and then just not scroll down that far.
Hate that row. With a passion. It’s in no way intuitive to the user. Useless adware.
I have no issues with that row, that’s not the problem.
The problem is I do not want to see the free plex content there, it’s either 1% RT or worse. If i want to watch bad movies, I’ll watch Best of the Worst.
Here’s some examples. That whole row is now just plex’s free content. I refuse to watch this stuff, and it just annoys me.
Turn off all the online sources in your Plex account settings… That’s the only way to stop those recommendations coming through (I think). Used to get all sorts of inappropriate content very family unfriendly, back then it was either you’re in or out. I chose out.

The Google TV settings
Settings>Account & Sign In>[Select your google account]>Your Services> then find Plex in list and disable
I thought of that before I write this thread, sadly it’s not listed there.
I was wondering what version of Google TV/android is on your device. When I turn off App only mode it looks different for me than in your screenshots. All the app logos are circle for me for example.
It was the last patch before the march one.
That said, I fixed it.
I turned on every other service in that recommendation section, even if I don’t have it. That kind of added so many other suggestions that it’s removed plexs suggestions.
