Removing no longer available PMS from the Plex Media App

Server Version#: 1.23.3.4707
Player Version#: 1.33.0.2444-a220eae4

I had a friend share his plex server libraries with me. His server failed and he had to start over. In my plex media apps (windows, mac, android, ios, various embedded tv based) all still show this server as a possible source. Since it is dead and won’t be coming back I’d like to remove it from my source listings in the app. To date, I cannot seem to find a way to do this. Any ideas from the community at large on how to remove a no longer available plex media server from the listing options in the player, preferably without having them remove me from their user list and then reinvite me to their plex?

Thanks in advance

Using your Plex account, go to Settings → Users & Sharing

You should see your friend’s name listed and “shares X libraries with you.”

Click on his name.

You should see the servers & libraries he has shared with you.

Click Edit to remove the undesired server(s).

If you want specific libraries removed, contact your friend had have him unshare them with you.

Your friend might need to clean things up on his end as well. If the old server no longer exists, he should remove it from his list of Authorized Devices if he has not already done so.
