Friend Deleted His Plex, But Still Appears in My List of Servers

Hello everyone,

I have a friend who has deleted his Plex server. When I view a list of servers, his name appears in the list as “Unavailable.” I do not see anywhere I can remove him and have flipped through all of the various options. I’m thinking this might be cloud related rather than a local issue. Does anyone have any suggestions to resolve this problem?

Thanks in advance!

option 1: simply remove him as a friend
option 2: remove his server the list of your authorized devices (https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/devices/all)

Hey Tom, thanks for the reply. I checked the link and didn’t see his name anywhere. I purged my list of authorized devices to be safe.

When I follow the link, I click on the “home” icon in the top left. When I select the drop down to view servers, I see several including this server in question. Any other ideas to try? Thanks!

this should be the link for #1:
https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/users/friends

the previous link won’t show the name of your friend… ideally the name of his server.

After checking the friends link, I only see my active friends… madness, right? No mention of him or his server anywhere except for the drop down from the home menu. Periodically, Plex will default to his server when opening the app and state that it is “Unavailable.”

Try logging out and back on again on whatever device you are using. This is what I had to do on my roku to remove a deleted server.
