Removing played or deleted shows from the schedule

Is there a way to remove played or deleted shows from the program scheduler?
I have a bunch of shows that I recorded for testing and I have deleted them from the library,
but they still show up in the scheduler and if clicked on only show them as completed.
Can you put an option to remove them?

I would like to know the answer to this question too.

From memory the schedule only shows the recordings from about the last three weeks, so they should drop off after a while.
