Is there a way to rename an existing managed user I have? I’ve tried logging with my admin account and the managed user itself and can’t see anywhere to change the name?

No, you cannot rename a managed user.
I know you used to be able to. Has this feature been removed?
I don’t remember that ever being a feature.
I know this was possible not even one month ago. I renamed my child’s managed user profile (he didn’t like being called Mikey anymore). It must have been removed in one of the recent updates.

What version of PMP are you using? I am running PMS 1.18.2.2029 and PMP 2.45.0, and PMP won’t even run…it just sits on the Plex splash page and hangs there.
At the moment I am running the v3 Preview release:

Am using the Mac versions.

@Server_Plex, you should be able to rename your managed user using Plex Media Player. I had to use the version 3 preview that @blim5001 mentioned, but it did work.
I’m trying to do the same thing. Why the hell would they remove the functionality of this…? I swear I’ve done it in the past… There’s a guy on Reddit trying to change his Sister’s because she’s now married. Such a simple feature. I can’t see the implications quite honestly…
Workaround for Fire TV owners.
No Plex Pass required.
On the Fire TV device, at the Select/Switch User screen, Managed User EDIT appears beneath each managed user. If you are the ADMIN USER, (PIN may be required), you can edit the Name , Restriction Profile , Library Access, or Delete User on the FIRE TV device
using the remote (or USB/BlueTooth keyboard if attached.)
Tested with Fire TV Stick Gen 2 , Fire TV Gen 2, & Fire TV Stick 4K
I have no idea why this is available here and not on my PLEX GUI, but it is very handy.

P.S. I can also add a user from the same screen by selecting the large + with Add user… printed below it!
Note: I can not add nor edit a PIN for any user, existing or created!
That functionality remains in the web GUI.
the managed user name editing in the web app is coming back. I know it is being worked on at the moment. not sure exactly when the update will come but should be soon

Managed Users can have their names edited in both the Web App and with the Windows App.
Go to Settings / Users and Sharing. Click on the user to be edited and choose the Profile menu option. Click Edit and change the name.
