[REQ] Remove Smaller Video Files

I have hundreds of videos, and there in one folder. They are then in subfolders based on the name of the movie.

A few of my movies have another video file, called a ‘sample’, which is probably only 30 seconds long.

Is there a way for PLEX not to pick up this file. It will sometimes scan and read the file, yet it will mixmatch it.

I’ll have a ‘new’ movie, title Sample…or something to that effect, and I’d rather not…

This is what I am talking about.

This is probably not the solution you want, but a fix.
Right click on the file, >show info, and it will list you the name and folder. Then go to your nas/hdd and delete the file.

Take a look at the .plexignore feature.

I looked into information about plexignore and it states.

Plex will automatically ignore and exclude certain content based on the following criteria:
Files that include “sample” in the filename and are less than 300MB in size

This is not the case…so it must be a bug.

It has sample in the filename and is less than 300MB…

By all information I have read…Plex should not be picking up these files…

I could post more screenshots, because this issue is still NOT resolved…even with the new update.

Two Months Later…Still Not Resolved…

Still Not Resolved…and I know it is a bug, since they state it shouldn’t happen in the article that I linked.
