[Request] Better "Download"-Feature

Hey. For local users there is the option "Download" for movies or single episodes.

But i don't see any added-value of this. Because i'm really missing some enhancements of this feature, to make it really usefull:

 

- Ability to Download Series and Seasons

- Ability to Download everything chosen with the "Select"-Feature

- Better Naming - "Movie/Show - (Season&Episode) - Year - Quality" as Download-Title (right now, its "file".mkv/avi etc)

 

This way, we could share the original files easily to a friend - which i think is the only use-case of the Download-Feature.

I agree and really like the idea, but I think this feature should be controlled by the user owning(logged in) the Plex server and the option to dis/allow per shared user.

I don't know, I don't really see the use of this feature. Wouldn't you prefer to have sync in desktop clients?

No. Not really. Because the main idea behind this request is to quickly share the original files to a friend... But the Sync feature makes the files only available inside plex
