Hi Plex! Going to sound like an oddball request / question.
I’m looking potentially for a scanner, that upon detection of low definition content, will automatically apply standard “this is not high enough quality” meta data to a file.
I share my plex server with my little brother, who unfortunately, doesn’t understand or CARE the difference between SD and HD. Everything he adds is 360p or 480p content, and I am trying to ensure a 720p minimum.
Going through once a month and deleting the low def stuff is annoying, and secondly he seems to not get the message. as he has said “I don’t care”. I would like to have some form of automation that upon loading of this SD content, gets blocked from watching with some warning and message.
Or upon loading of SD content, the agent will automatically force a re-encode with a watermark over it. SOMETHING to get the damn message accross (that’s not as harsh as just blocking him 100% from using it)
