Request For Enhancement: Dashboard Information

I would like to request an enhancement to Plex Server Dashboard.

Where items are shown playing in the Dashboard, this provides information on the streaming mode ‘Direct Play’, ‘Direct Stream’ or ‘Transcode’. This information is useful to identify that conversion has occurred, but does not specify why.

It would be very helpful if this could provide additional information whenever a form of conversion occurs.

i.e Reason for Transcode < Incompatible Resolution, Bandwidth, Format, Container etc.>

I appreciate that this information will likely be available in logs, but it would be helpful in the dashboard to simplify the identification and resolution of issues.

I agree. Most times have to work between dash and app to figure out exactly what’s going on. It’s a challenge when I have family traveling and have to troubleshoot remotely.
