Hi,
Minor request.
Would it be possible to have a functionality to hide “parts information” and “stream information”
on plex clients?
When you watch movie you usually check posters, plot, actors/actresses to know what the movie is about but not essentially the informations about the movie file itself. I think that friends/family dont need to see where your movies are located, name of the file, fps, crop, etc… However, I still would like to have those informations available for myself since I sometimes check if movie file name matches with the metadata.
Netflix,Hulu,HBO Go & other online media streaming services does not show you where their files are located, fps, etc. probably for security reasons, less unnucessary buttons to press, or because you just dont need to see it.
In short, can we have the “parts information” & “stream information” ONLY available to the person who runs PMS?
Thanks.
Which plex player are you speaking of? I did not think any showed that info unless you bring it up intentionally. can you post a screen shot of where this is showing by default

Hey BigWheel,
Sorry I should have been more clear. Its not showing by default. I use iOS products. I was just wondering that these infos dont really need to be available to view by friends and family for the reasons I mentioned above and since they dont really need to see it.
Plex has been an amazing software to organize and share my media & I wish I have discovered it long long time ago. Just trying to make it more perfect:)
