For starters, I really do love Plexamp. And the Random Album Radio brings back a feature that I’ve been missing from my foobar2000 days. But I would really love to be able to filter it by genre. Like the other day a Joe Lovano album came up and I really just wanted it to cycle through more jazz albums. Other filters might be nice, but genre would make it soooo much better in my mind.

That’s great to hear. As much as I enjoy the regular radios, the album one is so much exciting to someone with a large collection who takes too long to pick out something to listen to.
Somewhat related, I would love to see artist radio or related artist albums added as default options for the autoplay feature.
Just swipe to those cards and they’ll stay as the default (sticky cards).

Also, with the AutoPlay cards you can already get what you requested in the first post. Check out the similar album card that way, you just put on the album you want to go from, select similar album and just let it go from there. It works very well.
Very cool. Just had that happen. Listening to Bully’s last album and then noticed it said next album was from Dinosaur Jr. Perfect. But the next one is also from DJ, and I would like more variety.
How do I change those cards on desktop? Clicking on it doesn’t seem to do anything. While I’d like to set a different default, I’m totally on board with just changing the Next Up cards.
I’m my experience you hold the middle mouse button on the card, then swipe it. This is very wonky for me though. I hope they change this behavior some time.
About setting a default: just pick a card and it should stick to that as the default until you switch it again.

Ah, that could be a Linux thing that’s blocking me. Don’t think the scroll button click is handled the same way (at least not on my system). Personally right-click and select the autoplay you want would make the most sense to me.
Plenty more requests to come, but for now I’m getting sucked into making smart playlists.
Shift+Mouse Wheel Scroll let me change the cards! Putting this here in case anyone else can’t figure it out. So cool to see all of the options - I’ll be switching between Similar Album and Similar Artists a lot.
