Personally I probably want to resume a video from its last played position 99% of the time, but Plex currently gives preference to my 1% use-case and asks if I want to resume. In the rare case I don't, I'm ok with marking the video watched and then unwatched to start from the beginning.
Yup, I'd like to see "play" and "play resumed" where ever the play button is instead of a second screen with that choice.
It looks like 7 years later I still want this feature (resume by default) on the web version.
