Please just swap the position and formatting of the album name and artist name without changing the sort process. That way I can actually read the album titles but still have them organized.

Plex has always displayed Albums by Title this way, I have no idea why, they seem to be the only music manager that does.

This is how Spotify does it. I hate that PleX makes it so difficult to navigate my many, many albums.

I’d like this request this feature/change as well.
Maybe there were some changes since this request was made, but the web player (not mobile players) did change and display albums properly for list view and summary view, but not in grid view.
Mobile player (iOS) still shows sort them by the artist name regardless of the view mode. Things are quite inconsistent now.
This is truly an odd way to show the title. No other play does it this way. Please consider changing it. If nothing else make it user customizable.

Please add this as a togglable switch places feature. It would really improve the customization that a user can achieve for their library viewing easiness.
Somehow I got really annoyed the album artist is always in a bigger font then the actual album title. Indeed, no other music app/service does this.
Please change this so the album title is more prominent or at least give us the option too. Some people find the album title’s more important than the artists. Also, PlexAmp does the exact same thing.
Please add this feature, especially since it’s already that way in summary and list view!!
100% for this feature. I’m from a country where Album titles are more important than the artists, and the current way of displaying music doesn’t work.

Plexamp displays Albums the same way as the other Plex apps. Artist is first and bolded, Album is second and de-emphasized.
Yes, please! Put album titles in bolded and on top especially when we have more than one album of the same artist it is very confusing - for example it displays as “Elton John, Elton John, Elton John”. Just a simple swap of the display of album title and artist would be amazing.

Here we are, in 2023, and this issue still hasn’t been solved.
I tried adding my music to my Plex server and instantly regretted it. It’s bad enough that PMS randomly splits albums into several independent tracks based on artists, but it’s also a hellhole of confusion to then sort out and merge the albums back together.
I’ve had to remove my music from my PMS and go back to just keep my collection on local storage. 'cause there’s no way I can use my library with Plex as long as it fails to even recognise properly my collection (which is all properly tagged for Windows)

June 2023, still an issue. Super annoying, and you’d think it would be a simple fix. Just give us a toggle or something PLEASE.
