let’s be honest, plex
home theater’s menu
bar kicks the pants
off other clients.
forgot to turn on subs?
no problem.
audio sync issues? done.
what time will i be
done watching this video?
11.17pm.
+maybe the MOST missed
feature? in media synopsis
(should be toggleable)—
love that we now have
cover art in ios, but spilling
the beans on a movie
or episode would be
great without have to exit.
I personally HATE PHT's interface. Seldom use it, and then only for testing something. Much prefer the Android or Roku interface.
I think he's talking about the Now Playing Menu Bar, that pops up when you pause a movie?
Not the whole interface... the rest of it's rubbish and the other clients take over in that regard.
If the aspects of black/black remix skin were incorporated into default skin. Would be awesome.

exactly right.
default skin - eh. it’s nice in someways, it gets in the way in others.
but @s1mpleman nailed it: the player’s interface, not the app’s skin/navigation.
i’m not saying there’s zero room for improvement, but did anyone even read the features i raved about? or was it just skip to comment: death to pht? ![]()
Early 2021 clean-up:
- enable/disabled/change subtitles from OSD → implemented
- audio selection from OSD → implemented
- audio sync during playback → implemented (e.g. Plex HTPC, PMP)
- end time in OSD → implemented
- synopsis in OSD → duplicate (e.g. When watching random episodes of tv shows, would be nice to be able to read the description of the episode)
