I watch a lot of my media on my PC using Plex/Web. I would really love the same keyboard functionality as is found in VLC for example to be built into the Plex/Web player while the browser window has focus.
In particular this would be:
- Press the space bar to pause / resume the video
- Use the left and right cursor keys to rewind / fast forward
- And (though it's not standard), use the up and down cursor keys for volume control.
Hope this is possible!! B)
This is a good request, but I am curious why you don't use a plex client on your PC rather than using Plex/Web?
This is a good request, but I am curious why you don't use a plex client on your PC rather than using Plex/Web?
3 reasons:
1 I routinely manage Plex from the Plex/Web client including syncing of items to various portable devices (my nexus 7, my wifes nexus 7 etc)
2 If I am using my work laptop on my home network, I am unable to install anything as it is locked down!
3 Lastly - I prefer a mouse interface to quickly move around rather than etc!
Also there are some keyboard shortcuts already in Plex/Web, but they don't work when you put the video full screen!
Spacebar pause/play is a fairly common video player shortcut, I would really like to see this in plex web..
I use plexweb as my primary client at any PC I SIT at as well, I don't need a media-center UI when I have a keyboard in front of me.
Would very much like this feature.
