I’m running my PLEX server on a Synology 220+, and one of my PLEX players on a FireTV 4K Max. This is the only device where I’m not able to find a setting, which plays my SD files with correct size and aspect ratio. (The TV is 4K as well, if that matters)
1920x1080 is no problem, this works in any case. But SD doesn’t. Even when there is no transcoding. I have to set the player options manually to “stretch” - and if it is 4:3, adjust this manually in the TV.
There is a PLEX app in the TV, which has no problems. But it is so slow, that I would prefer the FireTV stick.
Any ideas? I think I’ve tried any available setting on server and client…
Could it be a problem, that the stick was used first with a non-4K TV? The picture settings in the system options are updated, of course. But maybe I should have done a factory reset? (It’s not possible to uninstall PLEX)
