Pause/play - ear detection - double tap, is not working for the desktop app or web app.
This posting is primarily concerned with the Mac desktop app.
The new mac desktop app does not recognize any of the pause/play features of AirPods. It does, however, recognize next and previous controls.
Removing the headset routes audio back to speakers, like a disconnect, where I expect a discrete pause. I believe the rerouting is because of MacOs’s handling w/o pause.

The web app does recognize pause/play but plays on disconnect and when the headset is removed from ear. I assume this is because it’s doing play/pause toggle rather than discrete play or pause. I think the web app is actually an issue with chrome since other players have the same issue (not the same issue as desktop).
This works in PMP. I just started using PMP a couple weeks ago to solve this problem only to see it’s be deprecated now
