Resume playback doesn't auto refresh

I’m new to plex and my main use case is that I use my Android device to Chromecast video to the TV. If I hit stop in the app, I’m shown the video content screen where I have the option to click play again. If I simply click play again, I always start at the beginning of the video. If I go back a screen and reload the video info screen, then the resume playback marker shows up. Is there a way that when I click stop, the resume playback marker shows immediately instead of needing to go out and back in again?

Wondering the same thing. Also the whole resume playback feature seems to be not working. Weven watched status is wrong if you exit something and go back. Have to go all the way back for it to kick in. But mostly I miss being able to start watching on one device and finish on another.
