RFE: Show Audio Track Descriptive name if exists

mkv files can have descriptive name fields for all tracks, including audio and subtitle tracks. It would be nice if the track selection dropdown appended this text.

 

Example output might look:

Audio:

  • English (DTS 5.1) - Main Audio
  • English (VORBIS Stereo) - Commentary Track

I know that MP4 and MKV both allow for track specific names. So I'm gonna bump this again as well as request we add the same for Subtitles

Adding this in general will also cover requests for Subtitles being marked for Narrative, Hearing Impaired & Sub Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

In addition to regular vs commentary track there are issues with multi-dialect languages like Mandarin and Cantonese since the ISO standard does not differentiate between dialects.

Plex already knows how to read this information… it’s in Get Info -> Display Title. Of course, hardly anybody is going to see it there. Please add it to the track dropdown!
