Is there a roadmap of the features to be built for the short, medium and long term?
Appreciate priorities change but will be good to see.
Most interested in the development of the photos area.
The marketing wording surrounding sorting of photos suggests it is more intuitive and clever than the reality.
I am most interested in seeing the connection to mobile devices and the ability to share or sync mobile albums into Plex.
I am just as interested in being able to see the sorting, labelling and searching capability the devices offer into Plex.
The goal is simple, my family members have personal devices, they want to share specific photos with the family. Whilst this can be done by mobile sharing, the point is to then be able to sit down as a family and go through photos people have wanted to share. In other word, see them on the big screen. Especially relevant if you go on family trips/holidays etc.
The capability needs to be more intuitive and create a ‘keeper’ feature like this as I suspect the days of NetFlix and other subscriber platforms are reducing the value Plex Media Server has for Film and TV capabilities.
I have seen other article son here of people asking for over 4 years for this capability but with little to zero response from Plex.
Adding AI capabilities to help with sorting and management of photos will be of use.
I want to spend my time enjoying and consuming the services, not administering them.
