I have to say this is seeming pretty promising. I have run 3 Rokus for 3 preseason weekends + all day yesterday as a prep tester for the season and there hasn’t been one crash.
I would gather to say that (in my case at least), the problem was a Roku problem that has since been fixed. I will mark this as the answer to further tempt Fate.
