I have two Roku TV’s (TCL and Insignia), one Roku stick (3600) and three Roku3’s. The new Plex Live TV works great on all my Roku devices with the exception of the two Roku TV’s - both of which have great wireless signals and operate all other apps well. Any idea why Roku TV does not appear to be supported as indicated? They both get to “99%” when loading channels but then don’t work.
It seems likely that well Roku set top boxes and sticks may be supported, Roku TVs may not.
my tcl roku tv works, but I am using the plexpass channel (not sure if different version than regular).
I can confirm that this is legit. I have a 32" TCL Roku TV in my office and I have this exact same issue. The streaming sticks and Roku 4 I have work perfectly without any real issue. However even using the plexpass or mainstream channels this issue exists on a TCL Roku TV. Any help is appreciated here as I LOVE the live TV function, but I do need it to work…
My Roku TV (Sharp) plays live tv on the standard (not PlexPass) channel no problem.

I assume you are using wifi, how far are you away from your router? I was thinking of getting one but it looks like the 32" and under are wifi-only.
I triple checked the WiFi strength and speed right at the location of both my Roku TV’s (one is TCL and one is Insignia) and both are very strong signal (90Mps download speed with low/good latency) and all other streaming apps work great on both these TV’s. I can even get another live TV streaming solution to work well on these TV’s so I am 100% certain the issue lies with the Plex Live TV and the Roku TV’s - maybe a firmware issue of some sort in these TV’s (I’m guessing). I have tried both the PlexPass channel and the regular Plex channel so that’s not the issue either (good variable to try though so thank to those who recommended trying this).
Is this a Plex known issue? I am thinking of buying a new TV and am trying to decide if I will get a Roku TV or buy a Roku device to go with it. Live TV is a deal breaker!
I have many of both and happy with both but not for Plex Live TV - I have had much better results with a separate Roku device - even the lower end Roku stick works well. Guessing it’s a firmware issue but not sure. As a test case, I recently inserted an Amazon Fire TV stick into one of my Roku TV’s and it works great with Plex Live TV so the issue is clearly with the Roku TV’s for some reason.

Here’s the TCL Roku TV I have (the other one I have is a slightly newer Insignia Roku TV). I see mine is two years older so likely different firmware which could make all the difference. Have loved the TV - this is the first issue I’ve had with it - so now I’m using an Amazon Fire TV stick in it to watch Plex Live TV…!
