I’ve got an issue on my rasplex running on a raspberry pi 2. I had the same issue on 1.0.2 and now 1.0.3.
The latest version of PMS (0.9.15.6) is running on a DS215j.
Sometimes, more often when I want to play another video after finishing up one, the movie seems to start (I’ve got the small movie visualization with the fan art at the bottom right of the screen or the screen goes black, it depends) but it will never start playing.
After rebooting the raspberry using the rasplex reboot option, the movie will play like a charm. Sometimes it will take more than one reboot to play.
Looking at the log, I’ve got this line repeating again and again:
23:15:46 T:1926140992 ERROR: COMXCoreComponent::DecoderEventHandler OMX.broadcom.video_decode - OMX_ErrorInsufficientResources, insufficient resources
It is a known bug? May my SD card be faulty? Or my PI?
I’ve a 2A/5V power supply from the standard amazon starter kit so I don’t think it’s faulty… Any idea if it could come from the SD card? Just to know if it worths buying a new SD card and try with a fresh install.
Have you tried playing the same movie with a different audio track?
Insufficient resources means exactly that, it can’t play the movie, very hi bitrate and DTS HD-MA audio, what’s your audio settings, have you set decode DTS HD?
Thanks for answering Ned ! No, I don’t have activated DTS-HD decoding. I have the issue whatever is I read an AC3 track or DTS track. Then after a reboot or two of the pi, I don’t have any issue to play the file.
The schema of my infrastructure is the following:
NAS – Gigabit router – Pi – Yamaha RVX amplifier – Samsung TV (CEC capable)
My PI is connected to a 5.1 Yamaha amplifier. Rasplex is set-up to passthrough the sound and the movies are direct played.
