Rpi not start

Hi,

I tried to install the img. (trying on mac and windows) everything seems to be find but my Rpi doesn't start (Power ok but no green led and no signal on hdmi port).

No problem if I install raspbmc for exemple.

Something I can try ?

Thanks

Please recheck some steps:

  • Have you extracted the img.gz before flashing?
  • Is the img file ok? (Check the size or try to re-download the file)
  • Try to insert the SD-Card into you Mac/PC after flashing. Is there a mountable SYSTEM partition?
  • Which cmd do you use for flashing? On OS X use:
    sudo dd if=rasplex-.img of=/dev/diskX bs=1m
  • Is your SD-card working fine?

I am having this issue also. Power on, red light comes on, nothing else happens.

  • I am creating the SD card with the installer script on a Mac. I have done it a few times just to make sure and get the same results.
  • I can also see a partition when I put the card back into my Mac.
  • SD card works with Raspbmc.

I was interested to give it a try. Thanks for the hard work!

This could be related to overclocking issues. (We already changes some settings for the next release)

Have you tried running the installer script with the bleeding edge version option? ( -b )
Try it with and without the option (one of the two version should have overclocking disabled by default)

I as well am having this problem. I have formatted the card a couple times, installed multiple versions of RasPlex multiple times, card works fine with any other distrubution, yes I see the card on my PC, yes the image file is fine (which yes it is extracted)... I'm on Windows 7 using WinDiskImgager. The versions I tried were 0,1,28 Bleeding and 0.1.27 Current.

Edit: I fixed mine. I went into the config file and indeed there was overclocking enabled... Just set the settings back to normal settings and turned off the force hdmi (using older TV) and all is well now.

Tried adjusting the overclock settings back to standard on 0.1.27 and a new install of 0.1.28. I also tried turning off force hdmi, no luck.
