Rspberry server on docker

Hello,
I am asking for help for a problem I have with a Plex server.
The server, last version available, is installed on a Raspberry Pi 5 inside a docker.
In addition to Plex, PI-Hole and Samba are installed on the docker.
The driver that contains all the sharing files, therefore NOT the O.S., is an NVMe card mounted on a Geekworm adapter, the X1001 model, while the operating system is installed on a standard micro SD card.
Everything works perfectly, I just have a problem with Plex.
The Plex server can be reached from my local PC at the address http://192.168.xx.xxx:32400, I can configure everything I want, I have also configured the libraries to share but unfortunately the server does not see any files, anything.
I’ve tried everything that I read on line, I’ve changed the permissions which are now 777 on the entire drive, but nothing works.
I’ve read and searched a lot online and I understand, perhaps, that it shhould be an error on permissions or user but I can’t figure and solve it out in any way despite tons, of try.
The disk path is: /mnt/nvme/share/ follwed by the various items folders, such as Photos, Music, Video, Various.
Any suggestions are very welcome.

Keep in mind this isn’t only about permissions for the as it’s mounted on your Raspberry but also how they’re passed to your container.

I forgot to mention that my knowledge in this field is very limited.
I understand what you wrote, but when you state “but also how they’re passed to your container” I understand the concept but it’s practically difficult for me to handle.
On the other hand, given that the PLEX server that is inside the docker is normally reachable from any device within my network, and also normally manageable, I can in fact create all the libraries I want and I can browse the mounted disk to decide where to make them, I thought everything was fine.
Do you have practical suggestions? any links?
