I think that Plex would become much more complete if it were to incorporate an offline RSS news reader. I currently use Greader Pro. This Android utility tracks news feeds of my choice and allows me view them offline.
With GReader Pro I can automatically delete unread content after a specified number of days and unless I specifically flag content it will be removed once it is read.
In the case of Plex the server would do the heavy lifting of downloading the feeds with account-based clients (optionally) syncing content unless one opts to view online. Anyway this functionality is one of Plex’s strong points 
In my opinion it would complete Plex.
