HI Devs!
Will this fix make it in to Plex?
http://xbmc.org/trac/ticket/4905
I am desperately trying to get the BBC Iplayer plugin working and this seems to be the stumbling block now
Thanks
Ian
Seconded! The iPlayer plugin worked fine a few weeks ago. Looks like the BBC changed things again :( hopefully it should be a pretty easy fix (the same thing affected the iPlayer download tools a while back, and they sorted it out pretty quickly).
I'd try the patch out myself but I'm currently fighting with Xcode over codesign errors
EDIT: Applied the patch, no change :(
Sorry, but it’s going to take a bit more than that patch to get it working. When trying to play RTMP streams from the iPlayer, XBMC (Atlantis B1) gives the error:
DEBUG: unknown packet type received: 0x16
This is the problem that the patch you posted fixes. However, trying to open a stream in Plex results in the error:
15:14:12 T:2692128672 M: 48119808 ERROR: Playlist Player: skipping unplayable item: 0, path [rtmp://bbciplayertokfs.fplive.net:1935/ondemand?_fcs_vhost=bbciplayertokfs.fplive.net&auth=c322cdf0d9a17ce4fa00c8634ed94dbf&aifp=v001&slist=mp4:b000drm97H26492402841]
indicating that there's something else wrong with RTMP support in Plex.
ah.. :( I was going on the symptoms rather than error logs. Where did you pick that log entry up from?
The logs are in ~/Library/Logs if you ever need to check, but RTMP support should be fixed soon. Elan pointed me to the changes made by the XBMC team & after merging them with the Plex source the latest iPlayer script plays everything fine. Hopefully it'll be working in the next release :)
Really??!?!?! That will be AWESOME!
