Hi

Ill keep this short, Can I stream my security camera from plex using RTSP URL?

You cannot, unfortunately.

You might be able to translate this RTSP URL into a tv tuner channel, though. Using some 3rd party software, like GitHub - xteve-project/xTeVe: M3U Proxy for Plex DVR and Emby Live TV
But it’s merely a workaround.

Xteve needs a xml file, I’ve been working on xteve for some time with no positive outcome, Cant get xteve to list my rtsp channel

What if you create a XML based on the existing one just replacing the url with your camera url and making sure that url is reachable from the server?

I have already created an xml but not sure if its formatted correctly, in saying that xteve accepts it, My channel still refuses to list via xteve mapping. I’m also unable to use the filter option to list the channel under from the new xml I’ve added. I already have a provider for my tv that’s uses an m3u link and xml link.

Got the stream working on plex, My stream kills it self after 1 min is there a setting some place that i can adjust to allow the channel to continually stream
