Hey Guys,
I’m trying to stream an RTSP URL but can’t get it to work… I’ve followed instructions from http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW-TO:Play_Internet_Streams and created a file:
BarryHome.strm with contents rtsp://192.168.88.25:554/live/ch00_0
It’s not working, any ideas?
You can test this your self with my external IP being rtsp://14.1.59.8:554/live/ch00_0
It used to work in Playstation Media Server and it runs in VLC no issues.
Any advice welcomed.

RTSP streams are not supported by Plex. Any XBMC-related support for RTSP streaming that might be in the Plex desktop client is not supported and not integrated with the Plex Media Server like other available streaming methods are. If you do manage to find a way to make it work, there’s no guarantee that it will continue to work and it will almost certainly not work with any client other than the desktop client.
VMS would be always recommended to manage RTSP cameras
