Plex player , how to run an external application?

Good afternoon,

I’ve not found any way to run an external program from the plex client interface.
my problem:

The Plex server is on a qnap (it runs flawlessly)

I have a W11 pc running the client connected to a tv.
I have a french tv provider (canal+) that provides direct tv and replay) I would like to be able to launch their app from an option in plex.
Is it possible?

None of my external streaming services launch from Plex anymore. Netflix and BBCiPlayer certainly used to. I’m not sure what update stopped them from working.

I don’t think you could ever run a 3rd party app straight from the Plex client.
If you’re clicking on a source from Watch from these locations, this should open the browser/web page. If they have a means to trigger a local app based on the browser, this might bring up a native app of that provider (I’m currently seeing this using Safari and clicking on items streaming with Apple’s TV app).
