Running in the background

Hi all

I have PlexConnect running beautifully on Windows Home Server (Win 7) however I would like to run it the background without the python window.

I did a little research and found by renaming or copying the "PlexConnect.py" to "PlexConnect.pyw" and running the .pyw file should do the trick.

However once I do this the "pythonw.exe" jumps up in my Task manager processes tab and then quickly dies a few seconds later.

Is this something i'm doing wrong or a bug that i should submit?

Cheers

Hm... bug report won't help much, I guess.

I have no idea what "pythonw" is or does.

Currently I don't see this as a bug, as you run it way beyond specifications... :-D

There are better ways to run it in the background if you search the forum e.g covert to a ghost .exe.

See the following thread (last few posts):

Not so difficult to fix...
