I was wondering why, only on my 42 Inch Samsung Smart TV, there is no HOME button or, as I see on my LG, no list of shows that are of the Continue Watching type where it shows the next upcoming episode for all series that have had at least one episode watched? In the left column there is all of the libraries and in the right column there is all of the shows in each library, but there is no HOME in the left column. Main problem is it makes it very hard to pause watching a show on one TV and going to this TV to resume watching, the format is so much different that it is virutally impossible. Just wondering… Thanks.
Is this a Samsung model which is already a few years old?
If so, it might have a 3rd-party Plex app which was developed by a Plex user years ago. As an independent developer, he implemented it to be operated differently. Unfortunately further development has been discontinued since.
Here you can find a kind of user manual for this app: Plex for Samsung app 2.013 submitted to Samsung
Yep, that’s the display we see and it sure could be better. You’d think the Curve TV could be updated, it isn’t that old. Thanks.
You’d think wrong, I’m afraid.
The original developer (who programmed this in his spare time, independently from Plex Inc.) is no longer able to develop this app further.
The platform is outdated. There is no way for it to run the modern Plex app, which is available on newer devices.
