Samsung Tizen bugs/problems

In the last few months I have noticed that the number of problems with the player for Samsung Tizen has grown.

Sometimes I’m watching and the video freezes and rewinds to the beginning, rewinds fast out of nowhere.

Another problem is if I pause some video, before pausing it was streaming normally, but when I pause and then play it it doesn’t resume immediately.

In the last week the videos take a long time to load, I always use Direct Play, when it happens I open the same video on my cell phone and everything is normal with the connection and server.

I saw several topics with Tizen problems, have you been through this, any tips?

I don’t own a Samsung, but do you have a 2021 Tizen? Those have known bugs that I have trouble finding listed all in one place. You can find them searching the forums and looking for Employee posts.

The best you can do on your side easily and quickly is remux your problem videos down to 1 audio and 1 SRT track if subs are needed. Many TVs can’t handle three dozen subtitle tracks in a web-dl.

If you want specific help, please provide us with excruciating detail of your hardware, software, network, server log, and a smart tv log and the xml info from a problem file, where you’ve power cycled everything and then demonstrated the problem for a minute before gathering logs.
