Hey

My connection:
TV Samsung S95D via eARC <> Samsung Q990D Soundbar, HDMI3 option checked for HDR, cables 2.1 (checked 2 sets)

Until ~3 days ago I was able to play any Dolby Atmos mkv and stream from my WD Cloud device to Plex app installed on Samsung 95D TV.
Playing movie properly showed on soundbar and sound was great.

For unknown reasons (no app update, no firmware update, no cable change, no config changes) - it stopped playing ATMOS and now is only PCM (soundbar info shows Multi Channel PCM).

Checked in TV sound settings - Auto function is set as was before when ATMOS was working through PLEX TV app. Obviously disconnected HDMI cables and devices from POWER, reverted TV and Soundbar to defaut settings (factory reset) - did not help.

Suggested fix was to find options in plex client → Advanced → Player and should be setting change from Passthrough to HDMI, however in this TV app version… there is no such setting.

My Plex version is free, thought that maybe some trial period finished and ATMOS was cut out?

Any help please?

Found culprit - ticking on Force Direct Play under Video settings in Samsung app sorted issue - Dolby Atmos is now working, and no more video slow-down (as soundbar is decoding audio, which is not transcoded by Plex)
