I am really pleased with Plex on my Samsung UE D6500. It is still under construction and doesn’t have the same possibilities as the windows version. This information is mend to save others days of work and investigating, because we already did that:
On a Samsung Television it is still impossible to:
Add most subtitles
To play most of the film extensions, Although they are visible in your filmcollection
The musictab is invisible.
I understand that Plex is working hard to solve these problems. It can also be that I am overseeing a solution. If anybody has a solution to the subtitle, music of extension problem, pleas answer.
Apart from that I am really pleased with Plex. They are doing a magnificent job constructing this program! I am looking forward to the next version for my TV. I hope most of these problems will be solved.
I have a UE32D6520 Samsung TV Set.
In my case the Music tab is visible but when i click on it, it says “Sry, Music sections are not supported”
Same thing in Photos section.
Also i cannot see Channels tab and i cannot use autoretrieving function from opensubtitles plugin, BUT I CAN USE SUBTITLE. I just download the subtitles, rename exactly as the video file and everything looks good except the fact that it uses the classic western europe encoding and i can not see some eastern europe characters.
Is the plex samsung app still under development?
And where can I find that information? Is there a site which follows / organizes the development?
