I just got an email from Elgato touting their new 4Sat four tuner satellite box for streaming satellite to mobile devices (and some desktop systems including Mac). They also tout Sat>IP which was new to me and not found anywhere on this forum. It seems to me that Plex should investigate ways of embracing the technology as a quick way of handling integration of online satellite viewing technology. The SAT>IP protocol is perhaps already available into some Smart TVs and 'obviously' available into mobile devices. Plex already has limited access to EyeTV via Eyeconnect.
Has anyone else got views on this and is anyone contemplating buying a 4Sat? I was considering adding SatFree to my Netstream Sat but that only added one more channel, four would be much better and offer more satellites as well?
Thoughts?
