Scan lines visible on UK HD channels - Plex Live TV DVR - HDHomerun

When watching UK HD channels and there is movement i.e camera panning or watching motor racing for example you can see visible horizontal scan lines makes the moving object look wavy around the edges and sometimes unrecognisable on fast moving objects.
I mainly notice this when watching Formula1 with fast moving objects on the screen and i’ve figured out that if i record the program and post optimise it then it works perfect but some races i want to watch live and i cant seem to find any settings that fix the live stream when transcoding on the fly.
I have checked the status when watching live tv and both the audio and video are being transcoded on the fly and my server CPU is using less than 50% CPU and has an SSD in it so i don’t think this is a resource issue.
I never have this issue when watching live SD channels.
Hope someone can help?
Thanks

This is known as interlacing. That term should help your Googling immensely
It’s partner term is deinterlacing. That’s what you need whatever player you’re using to do.
https://support.plex.tv/articles/208053067-settings-for-plex-media-player/ just over two thirds of the way down, CTRL+F for deinterlace.

Hope that helps

I suspected that was the issue as i have experienced a similar issue years ago with DVD players but unfortunately I am using a Roku as my player attached to my TV and the Roku Plex app doesn’t seem to have the Interlace/De-interlace option?
