Scanner crashing

I am now seeing this issue to with both the latest production version and the latest beta version of plex. CLI scanner spits out (docker)
****** PLEX MEDIA SCANNER CRASHED, CRASH REPORT WRITTEN: /config/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Crash Reports/1.24.2.4973-2b1b51db9/PLEX MEDIA SCANNER/guid.dmp

edit I should have noted that initiating a scan request using the http api and token or via the web gui DOES work, it’s only the CLI that crashes for some reason.

im now having this issue with CLI.

Same issue here with the CLI.

The Debug has this interessing part:

UPDATE WORKAROUND

In my case was solved by changing the media agent on the plex library agent to The Movie Database

notticed there was an update to the beta linux version so i did that but still getting errors

****** PLEX MEDIA SCANNER CRASHED, CRASH REPORT WRITTEN: /home/jason/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Crash Reports/1.24.5.5160-19d8ce86f/PLEX MEDIA SCANNER/ab205564-d00a-491f-9fc8e299-79f5df38.dmp
/home/jason/plex/scripts/upload.sh: line 133: 4301 Segmentation fault $LD_LIBRARY_PATH/Plex\ Media\ Scanner --progress --refresh --no-thumbs --scan --section 2 --directory “$FOLDER” --verbose

that error shows the bash code that has worked for years until now

the .dmp does not exist. folders are created but no file.

i tried the above agent fix but no dice. changing the agents is a little confusing by the way. with a separate tab for Plex Movie (legacy) and The Movie Database, both with unremovable options i dont know if i set it correctly.

also the script works for TV shows but not Movies library

Same error here as @bayoumedic Scanner crashes randomly and notes a dmp file location but that location/file doesn’t exist. I’m tempted to roll back to public but the most recent beta did a db update, and I’m concerned it might not be backwards compatible.

This worked for me. Thank you!

Please explain – You changed from what to TMDB ?

I am asking because we’re also tracking a problem where OOM condition is raised.
We have that well understood and they’re resolving how to repair existing databases with the next upgrade but if there is still another related problem with an agent then it’s best to get it all identified together.

I just started having this issue and it seems to have begun after I upgraded to 1.25.4.5426 (I’m running on Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS). After restarting the server I can scan a library but that’s it… after that it won’t begin scanning again on any library and if I go to the command line this is what I get

libc++abi: terminating with uncaught exception of type soci::soci_error: sqlite3_statement_backend::prepare: no such column: library_sections.content_changed_at for SQL: select library_sections.id as 'library_sections_id', library_sections.library_id as 'library_sections_library_id', library_sections.name as 'library_sections_name', library_sections.name_sort as 'library_sections_name_sort', library_sections.section_type as 'library_sections_section_type', library_sections.language as 'library_sections_language', library_sections.agent as 'library_sections_agent', library_sections.scanner as 'library_sections_scanner', library_sections.user_thumb_url as 'library_sections_user_thumb_url', library_sections.user_art_url as 'library_sections_user_art_url', library_sections.user_theme_music_url as 'library_sections_user_theme_music_url', library_sections.created_at as 'library_sections_created_at', library_sections.updated_at as 'library_sections_updated_at', library_sections.scanned_at as 'library_sections_scanned_at', library_sections.user_fields as 'library_sections_user_fields', library_sections.query_xml as 'library_sections_query_xml', library_sections.query_type as 'library_sections_query_type', library_sections.uuid as 'library_sections_uuid', library_sections.changed_at as 'library_sections_changed_at', library_sections.content_changed_at as 'library_sections_content_changed_at' from library_sections
