curl -s -X POST “https://api.telegram.org/botYOURBOTKEYHERE/sendMessage?chat_id=-1001263961125&text=$messaggio”
Cowboy,
I ended up having to have my run script as
./update-plex.sh --plex-pass
Thank you for the script, I was really hating the manual updates.
Hi there @Martino, the script has been working fine for the past few months but it has stopped recently. This is the output I get:

It knows there’s an update, it downloads the update, then fails to install it. I have got the Synology Certificate installed in Package Center. Any ideas?
EDIT: Changing the Trust Level to Any publisher in Package Center > Settings resolved it, it seems:

Not a big fan of having the set it as such. Could it be due to me having Plex Pass?
Added to the first post!
Thanks! It’s nice to see it running fine again!
Hi there !
Is it possible to take into account our update program preferences : Public or Beta?
Here is what the url to fetch the beta package looks like (without the token I removed)
https://plex.tv/downloads/latest/5?channel=8&build=linux-x86_64&distro=synology&X-Plex-Token=

Thanks !
@Kynch, you need to change to any publisher if you don’t have the plex certificate installed. if you install the plex certificate you can leave on thrusted publisher.
i agree. i would rather NOT get the BETAs. i prefer the more stable public releases
Indeed. I had the Plex Signing key installed, but for some reason, it had been removed. I’ve reinstalled it and set it back to Synology Inc. and trusted publishers again. Thanks for your input!
I wrote a heavily modified Plex auto-update script initially based on Martino’s script. It addresses your concerns and will download and install the update as per your Public/Beta channel selection in the PMS config general settings. I welcome you to read my announcement posting here:
I specifically added the channel selection functionality inspired by your post here.
