The search bar feature works fine.
But once the subject is up for viewing
It only stays up for 10 seconds before the plex splash screen comes on and everything goes away.
Than you have to start over with the search
Bar.
I am running a onn hd stick.
Ive checked to see everything is updated and rebooted the devices.
The cache is dumped
The stick holds 5.1 gb and used is 2.9 gb

You tagged this as plex-web but mentioned something called an Onn Stick. In web the search stays up until something else is clicked afaict so wanted to double check which player we were referring to here.
Guessing that is an Android device. Can you check the version number of the app in settings?
When you say plex splash screen do you mean the app crashing and restarting itself showing that initial logo animation then the home screen.
I tried it again this morning same thing
Typed in the person’s name to look at there profile of movies.When I clicked on the name found a movie.Clicked on the movie and before I could save the show the plex splash screen came on and sent me back home.
When I mentioned about onn device
Its sold from Walmart and ive got several other onn android devices.
I am heading home in a couple days and will see if this effects the Amazon firestick i am using on some of the tvs.
In settings I looked for version
