Since the update to version 8.17 on nvidia shield, the search button is on the side bar and no longer in the main window. I don’t find that really practical. Is there anyone in my opinion?
The idea was to remove some confusion. Users thought that having the search at the top of a page meant it was only searching that page. For example, if you were viewing a movie library and wanted to search for a specific movie, they would use the search at the top but then get results from every library.
Since search checks everything, it was thought to be more correct to place it in the sidebar so that does not appear to be a localized search.
