The latest version of the Plex Client (8.7.0.20853) running on my Nvidia Shield Pro broke my ability to click on the search option from any of my folders. If I select the “TV Show” folder I created, I can no longer click up to the Magnifying Glass to do a voice or keyboard type search. This was working fine in version 8.6.0.20351 (previous version). I can now only search from the “Home” option.
I’m able to search, but when trying to enter preplay screen on one of the results it just keeps loading… never ends. Browsing library and opening the same preplay screen works.
I’m only able to select the “Search” option from the “Home” level, other levels (TV Show, Movies, etc.) I can only select the “Recommend” and “Library” options.
Same here on Shield 2017 w/ Plex client v 8.7.1.20931. Just started within the past couple days.
Yes, I believe both have this issue. Maybe you know this answer, how do we get Plex to see this issue? LOL

Sorry, I was wrong… updated to the latest version and its the same for me. Search only available from the home screen. When trying to enter preplay screen after searching I get the spinning loading animation… sometimes it stops there and I have to go back and try again… when it actually enters the preplay screen spinning loading animation keeps going on top… actually watched an entire movie yesterday and spinner was still going when I closed playback and went back to preplay screen.

Client updated to 8.7.2.20952. Issue corrected.
