is there anyway i can exclude live TV & DVR results from appearing when one does a search on my plex server?
(i know we can exclude specific libraries from search results, but i dont see this option for the “Live TV & DVR” library)
this image below is what im referring to: (ie i dont want that “The Flash” airing to show up, as if you click it, it just gives you the option to DVR Record it, which is annoying and confusing some of those using my plex server remotely).
Im constantly finding random new shows added to my library, but they are just 1x single episode entries, (and thus i know they are from someone accidnetly telling plex to record a upcoming show airing via live tv/dvr, bc of it showing up in the search results)
Someone else shouldn’t be able to schedule a recording in your server.
Unless you shared your username and password with them. Which is not a good idea for several reasons.
that makes sense, however plex devs really need to add this ability (ie able to pin a liveTV and DVR library AND exclude it from search results).
UnPinning liveTV and DVR makes it much more difficult for novice users to find it and make use of. (and having results from the future, show up in search results is also awkward, unless a user opts-in / wants that)
