Hello,
I have a large library consisting of multiple user libraries from my family. It contains music that I have heard before but I can’t always remember the song names or how to find them. There are programs that search for songs by way of sonic fingerprinting but they require the song to be playing. There are also programs that allow you to search through audio recordings for words but I don’t know if they detect metadata.
Given that this technology exists, I think Plex should have a feature where you can search your collection of music by having the software look through audio recordings, including unrecognized audio, and finding the lyrics to them so even if there are obscure or unlicensed audio clips in your library you at least have the ability to find them without knowing anything but possibly some of the words.
The question is, can Plex accomplish this in any way, such as with Gracenote?
