I recently purchased a whole bunch of children’s movies for when my nephews are visiting and I would like to be able to sort or search the list by content rating (PG, PG-13, etc.) so that I can easily display a list of age-appropriate movies for them. Is this possible? If not, is this a planned feature in the future? Even just in a broader sense I’d like to be able to search by genre for when I’m looking for something that I’m “in the mood” for. This issue will grow more pronounced, I think, as I continue to grow my collection. By the time I hit 500+ movies I fear it will become rather difficult to efficiently search my collection, somewhat defeating the point of making a centralized media collection. I could create separate libraries, I know, but again this feels like it’s defeating the purpose of convenience for easily accessing a central media library. Is this a feature already available or planned?
That looks exactly like what I need! But I don’t see any of those filters on my page. Do I have to do something to get them to show up?
If your movies have the content rating tags, they should show up in the filter list.
Ah, ok. I found out why I wasn’t seeing them. I had the movies sorted by “recently released”. I had to switch that to “all” and create a new filter, but once I did all of those options showed up. Thanks!
