I would like to see a “Select All” button in a video folder view. This way I can either select shuffle or quickly add the entire contents to a Collection. Once you select a video there is an option to Deselect All however nowhere can I find a Select All option. Thanks!
I believe that mouse click with ctrl or shift pressed performs multi-select just like it does in Windows. That is ctrl+click adds the chosen item to the selected group and shift+click selects all items between the first selected item and the one clicked on including the one that is clicked.
No real need for a “select all” function as it already exists.
That is unless something in a recent update broke that functionality.
Can’t believe I never tried that, I use that all day long with other things! Thanks Elijah, worked like a champ.
Seems there has been a change in 1.23.2.4656 now. Shift+click is not working. Library view in Folders is now a list, no option to change to icon view. While you can hold shift and run your mouse over each file in list view, you can only select what’s in view. There’s only a half dozen movies or so showing at any time and I can’t seem to scroll the list while holding shift to quickly capture all of the files. Very difficult to create Collections this way. Any suggestions? Still looking for a “Select All” feature!
You can still select all using the approach described above. However you cannot simply scroll to the end – Plex Web will only allow to select a range if the items in-between have been loaded. Scrolling to the end of the range in a slow pace does the trick.
