Good idea!
That sounds amazing, also a banner on the home screen for users to read
A big āYes please!ā
Also auditing on guest/friends would be nice (would be great to see usage statās)

Thereās PlexWatch or PlexPy for that
+1 Would love to have ability to broadcast message to clients
push notifications for mobiles?
Iād like to see a āmaintenance modeā created (either through a CLI command or button in the WebUI, whereby when PMS is entered into it, it allows existing streams to complete, but does not allow new streams (allowing clients to gracefully ādrainā). An accompanying message which can be set when entering maintenance mode would also be useful.
please +1 this way i could tell other user the server will be down for a day or two for maintenance

i agree. or, even in non broadcast to an individual user (say, for parents).
YES!!! Something like this would be amazing!! I have a few outside connections for parents and inlaws and the ability to send server notifications (eg. push notifications for iOS for example) for whenever new media is added, or as mentioned several timesāwhen server maintenance is happening⦠would be awesome! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE implement something like this into Plex! ![]()
+1 on this. Every time I install an update I get instantaneous pings from my kids and family that āPlex is downā. Sheesh. Iād love to be able to push a message saying itās down. Itās especially a PITA when I actually have to do disk drive maintenance which can take hours.
+1 for this, or maybe even a feature on plex.tv which allows you to send an email to all your friends
I have been wanting this feature forever. I have over 50 users shared to my plex and would be nice to notify them of down time
yes please
so much yes on this please.
Great idea and itās one that is needed for those who share with other users. Any possibility to this happening?
Yes a nice idea!
Yes Please.
Just a reminder to some of the newer guys who may not be aware.
ā+1ā or āyes pleaseā have no effect whatsoever.
The correct way to add your agreement to a request is to go to the opening post and hit ālikeā.

Long overdue feature, hopefully itās implemented soon.
+1
Seems like it shouldnāt be too hard to implement either. Would be nice to be able to notify of outages or answers to common questions, maybe links to the various apps (iphone, android, etc.)
