What do you think about adding the ability to change your server status manually and Push notifications to users that access your plex. Right not to my knowledge its all set automatically by plex if it senses the server is Connected to the internet or not. It would be nice if we could manually log in to our plex account on the website and change the status to indicate why its down and for how long. i.e. Down due to Hardware upgrade, windows updates, planned outage. Just Something to indicate it is a planned downtime. Also if we could have a field where we can select an ETA or enter in a custom message. It would be nice if we set something up in advance. Say for windows updates to install and reboot on wed at 2am, if it would trigger a push notification to the user when they log in reminding them similar to how websites do it when you go to pay your bills online.
I really like this idea. There are times I would like to bring my server down and I would like to not have tons of texts from my family asking why it isn’t working lol.
